August news

The premiere of The Air Catchers on 28th July 2007 went down well at the HAF (Hastings Arts Forum) in 36 Marina, St Leonards-on-Sea, thank you Alastair for your support and help. We had around 50 people turning up and ejoying the show and the catering!

That premiere was followed by another screening at the Projections Space on August 1st at the Electric Palace in Hastings Old town during the Shot-By-the Sea festival. Thank you Rebecca! The short is now being submitted to several film festivals including Sundance and Bristol Brief Encounters. There will be another screening on the 22th August at the Electric Palace in conjunction with and just before the screening of Jacques Tati 'Mon Oncle'. We thought that our short is similar to Tati's comical masterpiece in spirit and humour and would fit that evening programme.

+PLUSH+ showroom in 42 Norman Road, St Leonards-on-Sea is closing down on the second week of August and will become a mythical shop of wonders as described in The Air Catchers short. We will continue to sell artyfacts and odd objects on-line through our magnificent and expanding website. However, we will keep many of those objects and costumes as props for our future films.

In the meantime the script for our new planned short Witch:Candy is being re-written by Barbara under the August sun while sitting in the backgarden or by secluded beaches.

The Air Catchers

We are now in post-production for our first Hastings-based short film The Air Catchers. The film takes a wry look at issues around the environment and shopping. We will hold a special preview screening here in Hastings in July, and it has been submitted for Brief Encounters Short Film Festival in Bristol and Venice Biennale. Meanwhile, here are some pictures of our crew...
